How do you calculate this? (chemistry) ?

The question says: calculate 1 mole of CO2. How would you do that? the formula is mole = mass / Mr right? please helps asap. thanks

Answer #1

I’m pretty sure that is correct, what r3dr0s3s said.

Answer #2

I don’t think that’s the full question. Do you want to calculate the MASS of 1 mole of CO2? If you want to find out the MASS of 1 mole of CO2, you add all the molar masses of the elements involved. In CO2, you have 1 mole of C and 2 moles of O. The molar mass of C is 12g/mol, and the molar mass of O is 16g/mol.

12g + 2(16g) = 44g/mol
