How do I make my parents say yes to a 2nd dog?

I keep convincing my parents to get me a puppy. I told them that I will take care of everything and also help pay for it. I told them that if I do not take care of one little thing they can give it back that was how serious I am. They still keep saying I will think about it and never say yes or no. Someone please help me!!!

I am just saying that I have been begging for a dog for 3 years and now I am getting 1 in october but I got it by getting a trained dog but you dont need a second dog because your 1st dog will feel left out

Ditto ty…another suggestion…study up on dog behavior, so you’ll up on how to keep two dogs happy with each other. Most “human” ways are not the answer to that question…Just the fact that you’re taking the “two dogs” request, so seriously as to WANT to learn dog behavior, by studying it, would be a way of showing them this is not a whim…but a serious request. Like…talk’s cheap, so you gotta walk your talk, instead.

Answer #7

Why dont you try taking over the dog you have? feed it, walk it, give it baths, brush it… Then talk to your parents about a second dog…

Answer #8

Show your parents that you take really good care of your dog now and that you can handle another one. Try to watch neighbors’ or friends’ dogs.
