How do I know if what my tongue piercing is doing is normal?
I noticed a few hours ago that my 2 days old tongue piercing has light yellow colored puss coming out of it, just every once in awhile, and I have red streaks on the bottom of my piercing… also I have a purple spot on the right side of my tongue that looks like a bruse… and I keep getting a pulling sensation on that same area… the guy at the tattoo shop were I got it done at looked at it and said it looks like I just bit my tongue which I know I didnt… and he said it looks like its healing fine, but I think something is wrong…
Its totalli normal I have my liup pierced and it does the same and I got scared and I went to my piercer and she said its fine. and yaa just dont worri about it
It’s healing… keep it clean.. and I mean REALLY clean.. Brush your teeth/use mouthwash after every meal..even after you drink anything. Don’t play with it, wait until it heals.. Don’t touch it with your hands unless you’re cleaning it. It’s only been a couple of days.. mine was swollen for over a week (lost a lot of weight) :) If you still have concerns, you should try going to a different piercing salon and ask them about it.
The puss is normal.. I had that for about a week when I got mine done… it just means the area is healing… and em the purple thing could be from the clamp or you could have bitten it in your sleep.. or it could be the shape of your teeth, I had a weird mark at the side of my tongue for a while .. it was from it pressing against my teeth because yano the way it gets a bit swelled… Im sure it will be fine the guy in the tattoo place would have noticed if it wasn’t… Xo:)
