How do I get over fear of running outdoors?

I don’t have a gym membership anymore, and can’t afford one. I’ve only ran on a treadmill before.

I miss running and working out. I really want to run, but it’s holding me back.. I have a fear of public running, I live in a big city, which only makes it worse. How can I get over this so I can start running? -Help?

Yea do it with a friend! Make it fun. and dont worry when people look at you running they are judging you or making fun of you. Unless you run like a giraffe lol

How about you run early in the morning or late in the evening? I don’t like running or going for walks in public…I feel like everyone’s staring. lol It might also help to do it with a friend, so if people stare, you can just tell yourself they’re staring at your friend. ;)
