how do I connect windows xp the internet

I have two computers.one with vista(the one im using now) and one with xp.my xp’s hardrive was broke and it got sent away to get fixed meanwhile I got a broadband connect.today I got my Xp pc back and I want to know how you connect it to the wireless router.its giving me the two computers with a red X on it.so what can I do

Does it have a wireless network card?? That’s the only way it can connect to a wirelss router…

I know this is an older question. But I have to add my answer here since I can’t believe how wrong the only other answerer was.

99.99% of WIRELESS routers have 4 or more WIRED connections on the router. You would run a network cable from the back of the WIRELESS ROUTER to your XP machine. If you are still having connection issues try another cable, or it may need a new network card installed. If you actually still require help feel free to ask.
