How can I revise?

I have my Mock Exams in 2 weeks time and I haven’t even began to revise since I have homework also. I’ll be having an exam in every subject (8 subjects but I’ll also have non-calculator and oral, reading and listening, also, so about 16 exams in total), so I’ll have at least 2 exam every day for over a week. Does anyone have any good tips on how to revise and actually remember all of it?! Because when I just read over it I don’t take it in! I’m really worried and so stressed. Any tips on how to revise would be great! Thanks xx Thanks. x

ok, I have a teacher who told us some tips : DON’T READ FROM TEXTBOOKS ALL THE TIME!!! that’s one thing he hates us doing. instead, download podcasts, pictures and play games based on the subject. I find it useful to listen to a podcast before I go to sleep-apparently it sticks in your head better then-u can get podcasts from bbc bitesize and you can also play games on that site.

Give yourself targets-ones you feel comfortable with-and reward yourself when you reach them.

Make sure you know what your revising for, and break up revision periods-you’ll remember more. Have plenty of breaks and DON”T GET BORED!

I find it really hard to revise too and I had my mocks a few weeks ago so here are some of the things I did to help as I also had coursework ect to do at the time…

-If its for something like science or something where knowledge is the key, pick out the key info and write bullet points on some post its and stick them in places you go often e.g. one on your laptop or on the mirror, then you’ll get used to reading it and once ones gone in, replace it with another one.

-make posters/banners which are big and colourful and not intimidating like a textbook so it’s easy and more to the point to read. At shool the teachers even got us to revise by writing on a hugeee roll of wallpaper and stickng it around the class.

-make flash cards with questions and points so that you can get a friend to help ask you.

  • In subjects like engish the only way you can really revise is to practice loads. I had a mock on comparing poems and every lesson our teacher would give us a different question for us to write an essay on and it did really help as you pick up th jist and when it comes to the exam you’ll be an expert.
