How can I lose weight on my calves or make them more stronger?

my calves, which is the lower part of my legs on the back, contain fat and I would like to lose that fat or make them more stronger. what excersice can I do at home for this situation?

stand on the first step on a flight of stairs, facing the stairs. back up to where your heels are off the edge and your weight is being supported by your calves. go up onto the balls of your feet and back down again. repeat some insane number of reps every day until you are content.
