Who here hates day light savings time?

I don’t hate it, but to be honest… I don’t understand why it’s necessary. Why can’t the time just stay the same? What purpose does setting it forwards or backwards an hour serve?

when the time is set back so 8am being 6 am you get extra snooze time for that day :O

Well that does seem stupid, I hate the change all together, it does not save any daylight or time, just moves the clock. I get up before the sun and go to bed well after it.

DSTs are completely unnecessary.

Well I know it was so that farmer would have more daylight hours to work, and things related to needing the sun, but you are right there is no point to it now.

It was introduced for saving electricity. So people had to use less artificial light. But nowadays, when every modern office building has an air conditioning system, I think that we use more power because of DST.

Its mainley because a long time ago, farmers needed more time to work on their crops, si therefore they came up with daylight savings time to give the farmers more time.

We have daylite savings time right now. I can’t really see any point in it. We have six months of daylite savings and, because of our latitude, generally the first (and last part) are wasted. The weather is just too cool to spend outdoors near the beginning, and near the end (of daylite savings).

I like the part of DST when we get an extra hour to drink at the bar!

Daylight syings time is supposely supose to save the earths energy.
