What are the following: hang nail, hammer toe, charlie horse and carpal tunnel?

Hang Nail -a loose narrow strip of skin near the base of a fingernail; tearing it produces a painful sore that is easily infected

Charley Horse - a muscular cramp (especially in the thigh or calf) following vigorous exercise

Hammer Toe - A medical condition where a toe is permanently bent down; A toe suffering from such condition

HANG NAIL AND CHARLEY HORSE MAKE NO SENSE TO ME. Lol, in the UK we just yell CRAAAAAAAAMP when we get “charley horses” and a hang nail is just ‘one of those loose bits of skin’. I’ve had carpal tunnel before and now I actually know what that was.. Thanks guys :D

question…. with the hammer toe… does it have to be bent down? or can like a joint in the toe be bent a different way?
