How do fish that live in deep and dark places in the ocean make their own light?

Answer #1

As far as I know they adapt to dark conditions with no light.

Answer #2

They use bioluminescent bacteria, a bacteria which can produce light. The two use each other, the bacteria lives in the fish, and in return the fish can use the bacteria as a source of light.
