Why is it that when I finally get a good night sleep, I feel more tired than when I don't sleep well?

Answer #1

If you sleep for five hours for a week and then sleep for eleven hours, you’ll feel really tired because you messed up your sleep schedule. You’re supposed to get the same amount of sleep every night because a steady sleep schedule is better for your body.

Answer #2

I think that it’s because your body has gotten used to a certain time, so when you do this mix up your body and all gets confused and you even get more tired because now your body is starting to get used to something else all over.

Answer #5

Your body learns to adapts to the little sleep it gets. I have exactly the same problem. My body go used to sleeping 6 hours and now that I try for 8 hours I wake up feeling groggy and moody and worse off.

Answer #6

Thanks!

I usually get 5-6 hours sleep in two sections ( sleep for 2-3 hours, up for a couple hours and than another 2-3 hours sleep). Last night I slept 7 hours straight, never woke up once. I feel like crap today and am simply exhausted!

Answer #7

its healthy to oversleep. long as it dont happen too often…..if it does,,, you’ll get labeled LAZY

Answer #8

Oh no worries there! lazy is the last thing anyone would ever call me. I average 5-6 hours broken sleep a night and am constantly busy and working. I slept 7 hours straight last night for the first time in about two months and ended up tired all day because of it.
