why does everyonr think that lewis caroll (author of alice in wonderland) was on lsd when he wrote the book?

Actualy alice in wonderland was written by her when the idea of “imanginary numbers” came around. He wrote it as alice being himself, a sensible person, surrround by crazy happenings of proportions, the cat, and other strange incidents (the imaginary numbers) so yeah she didnt really have imagination, just hatred for imaginary numbers i guess.
