Why does our 2-year-old Bichon Frise hit us to get attention?

Answer #1

You answered your own question; you dog is doing that for attention. It isn’t a big deal or anything it just means he/she is trying to be friendly and maybe she/he is hungry.

Answer #2

Our dog is a Maltese and she sometimes hits us too. It’s just attention seeking, or when they get too excited. It’s not so bad with our dogs because they are small but if you ever knew of a big dog doing this (or a puppy that will grow into a big dog) you need to control them to stop or they could knock somebody over.

Answer #3

well, if it is just a paw then its not a big deal they want to play with you! :) but if they are putting two paws on you forcefully then it can become a problem
