I’ve had almost 20 muay thai bouts starting from age 13 to now. im 19.5 by the way and personally id say speed , neck strength , very very strong shins , and elbows also recovering from thai roundhouse kicks and teeps and a must. but remember theres always someone better than you. so dont be tooo too confident. you can always learn something else.

Hi,

I’d suggest talking to people at your gym. If it’s really great and they train in Muay thai, there are surely other people who are as serious about it as you are. If there is someone your age, that’s even better! Hang around after your lesson/class and ask your instructor if there’s anyone of comparable age and ability to you.

Good luck!
