How will I ever make it up to my dad for raising my brother and me by himself?

Answer #1

Respect him and his authority. Do things around the house to help him, cook dinner sometimes, show him you appreciate him. Treat him to a day out with his daughter and son, any father would love that their teenage daughter wants to spend time with them. All in all remind him how muvh you love and appreciate the things he does through words and action.

Answer #2

My dad did the same thing…. I think it’s part of being a great parent. just tell him how much you appreciate it. Imma get a tattoo of my dad n brother cause they mean the world to me.

Answer #3

What a beautiful answer, Janice! I especially love this part, which I guarantee is true: “any father would love that their teenage daughter wants to spend time with them.”

Answer #4

You may also, G!d willing, have a chance to return the favor when you are a mature adult and he is aged.

Answer #5

make something useful of your self and have a good life

Answer #6

Speaking as a father in just your situation, Countess is right on. Also, trust him to ALWAYS be willing (and wanting) to give you emotional support. There may come a time when something happens that you feel will upset / hurt / disappoint him. Know that he will be there for you and will not judge. Lastly, you probably already know that you have him ‘wrapped around your finger’. Don’t take too much advantage of that.

Answer #7

Tell him how much you mean to him.

Answer #12

He gives me kisses on the forehead and sometimes a pat on the back. He doesn’t hug me anymore, he says dads can’t hug their daughters after they reach that certain stage in life. it’s ok tho I understand lol.

Answer #13

Answer #14

would like to add something you may not notice. if he Asks you to do something and you Dislike it and just make the Voice of “offff…” he might get hurt a little inside but without being able to see it on his face. so if you really care and love dad and want to keep him happy and very satisfied with you, watch that point i just cleared :P>
