Why do my dad and grandfather argue about things that happened 30-40 years ago?

It’s ridiculous and it gets on my nerves!

Answer #1

They’re men.

Answer #2

haha, i like how its so simple and true!

Answer #3

Sad..maybe it’s egos, who knows..hope they’ll put it in the past & forgive before it’s too late….

Answer #4

Tell ‘em it was 30 or 40 years ago, and they should have settled it before then, not now.

Answer #5

They r men and dont know how to let things go.

Answer #6

I agree with Gabby we men can only keep stuff locked up for so long or just dont like it when i person brings something up that we just dont want to hear or remember

Answer #7

It’s nothing serious, they aren’t mad at each other over anything. :)

Answer #8

LMAOOO at these girls talking about guys not knowing how to let things go. I get things brought up from multiple girls on a daily basis about stuff from years/months ago. Girls never let things go, don’t get it twisted. And I don’t know about ur dad and grandfather, but since they’re father and son, you can’t blame them, it’s a family thing

Answer #9

It’s not like they yell at each other & get mad or anything like that. Like they will be talking about a certain event, and argue over the details, like when & where it took place & stuff like that. Pointless stuff & it gets on my nerves ;)

Answer #10

old ppl like to live in the past

Answer #11

That’s for sure, they both talk about the past every day. I hear that is common for people once they start getting into their 30’s & 40’s. :)

Answer #12

they maybe stuck in the past but old wounds always come back maybe they arnt over it or just like the old times better

Answer #13

They aren’t bitter at each other over anything. It’s not over anything bad that happened, it’s over insignificant little things :)
