How do I get permission for a tattoo?

How can I convince my parents for me to get a tattoo?? I have been asking for years. My mom said I could get one when Im 16. Well, I turn 16 2 months ago and still no tattoo. I have researched everything about them. The one I want is sentimental. Its my grandmas favorite flower and the year she was born and the year she pasted. I will never regret getting that in my life. I talked to my dad about it he never really answers me. A part of me thinks hes shocked that I would get that because I realy didnt know her. She pasted when I was really young. I really want this tattoo to remember her. I just dont know how to convince my parents…please help

Remind her you’re 16 now and what she said before - find out if they’ve changed their minds or when can you get one…Good luck !!

Im getting a tattoo in a week along with a new piercing. I guess some parents are open to the fact of their child getting one and some aren’t. I guess all you can do is ask over and over again. The only way im getting a tattoo is because my grandmother was murdered. Show them exactly what you want, where its going to go. Make sure you can cover it for jobs and stuff like that.

You have your whole life to get a tattoo…wait till your older is my best advice. At least 21, your still young and have so much time. Just get the picture you like drawn up professionally and frame it…you might change your mind on the design over the next few years, or it’s position on your body. I have a few tattoo’s, my first one was done around the age of 18, now I’m 34 and wish I had thought it over more…but at the time I just wanted it!! I’m sure your Gran won’t mind if you wait a little longer…until then, enjoy the framed picture of the favoured flower. There’s no rush.

Tell them how much it would mean to you. And remind them that they shouldn’t be going back on their word, because that’s wrong and what not. And getting a tattoo when you’re 16 really isn’t bad. I got mine about a month ago. It’s of a plumeria on the inside of my wrist. My nana, mom, older sister and I all got the same flower. Kinda a family thing I guess. If it’s meaningful, you should get it. But I do say, it hurts like hell. I thought it wouldn’t, but when he started I thought my vein was going to pop open. After a while it just feels like a little burning sensation though. Anyway, good luck! =]

Don’t forge your parents signatures. That’s stupid.

Just wait. Tattoos are serious.
