I have pretty low self esteem, how to get more confidence?

Thanks for the helpful advice on the last question! I have another one now.. I have pretty low self esteem, its improving as I get older but still in the meanwhile since confidence is such and attractive and beneifical quaility I would love some tips on how to increase my confidence! Thanks!

focus on the things you like about yourself and not about your downfalls.

focus on what you like physically, and emotionally.

write down a list of all the things you like and every morning read it to yourself. this is a very common technique used in psychology. try it out and let me know how it goes for you !

I spend some quality time with MYSELF. This means getting a manicure/pedicure. New haircut, new shoes, new makeup, a good book, exercise, coffee and a good magazine. Of course limiting yourself is important but do something that will make you feel refreshed and clam. Last week I went to a park near my house that overlooks a bridge, sat down with a good book, wore a dress I love, drank lemonade, left my cell phone at home and had some ME time for about an hour. I went back home very calm and collected- which increases your confidence in things you do since you are not as nervous.

–people around you will see you with a calm cool confidence as you begin to relax more, feel more comfortable in your own skin, smile more, and are overall less nervous. Sometimes people ask me how I manage 508395 things at the same time and all I tell them is ‘a positive outlook and quality ME time.’
