Which is better to clean your navel piercing - sea salt or anti-bacterial soft-soap?

Answer #1

What did your piercer tell you ? They should of said both..

Answer #2

Well he said not to use sea salt idk why he said to use the soft soap but I don’t think it’s working.

Answer #3

Would you like me too post a photo of how red it is an stuff and see if that would help?

Answer #4

i uploaded a photo that might help.

Answer #5

Use both. Personally, I’m having a bit of a problem with my eyebrow piercing I just got a week ago. And I’ve used several things already to try to clean and help heal it. All I know is don’t use Neosporin. It can actually stop the healing process because it blocks the holes and airflow can’t get in so…yeah. I would recommend using sea salt and Dial antibacterial soap. Those are the only things I know works. Anything else I said would be based purely though trial and error…

Answer #6

can u tell me if my navel is infected i uploaded a photo of it.

Answer #7

Alot of people use both. I used sea salt soaks for all of my piercings and they’re doing great. Think about it like this: your piercing is a wound, an injury in your skin. If you fell over and a sharp object injured your hand, would you use soap to clean it?

Answer #8

I’d say sea salt. I’ve used sea salt for all my piercings, nape, septum, cartilage.

Answer #9

i use both. It is always better to be safe and the more clean it is the less liklier for it to get infected
