Did you know that household cleaning products are dangerous?

Do you know that the chemicals that are in your household cleaning products are dangerous to your health?

Answer #1

Sure ! - as a parent I always kept syrup of ‘epacac’ around (makes children throw it up), just in case and had the number for CDC handy (Center for Disease Control) - also cabinet locks are a good idea.

Answer #2

Absolutely, chemicals when used outside of their intended purpose can be dangerous.

People have died from mixing ammonia and bleach in confined areas. Toddlers are attracted to brightly collored containers so any kind of cleaning product should be locked or out of reach.

It is always good to choose less toxic alternatives when possible.

Answer #3

Yes I do know that, thank you. I have cabinet locks on all my cabinets and if I am using bleach to clean the bathrooms, I do this when no one is here and I open the window and turn on the fan for proper venting. I also use a product called Mean Green which is supposed to be a bit safer and I use products containing natural oils from fruits such as lemons and oranges. I know some of the products are harsh and harmful but I have to keep bacteria under control to the best of ability for the health of my chidlren. I am using the new Clorox Anywhere spray religously. I even spray my garbage can lid.
