Career choice already !?

Okay, I am only a sophmore and I’m still not sure what I’d like to do for a career.

That pays good money, and I enjoy doing.

I know I’m young to be thinking so hard about it, but I’d like something to work for.

For years I wanted to be an ortho asst., or a cosmitoligist and own my own business.

But I just got bored of it.

Here’s some things I’m good at if it would help anybody.

-drawing. -math. -science. -english. -computers. -being lazy (: -softball/running. -taking care of things. -having fun. -being around people. -making things.

If you have any questions, or comments. Please ask and comment ! (:

I need ideas :p

Please describe what they are too. Thank you (:

I suggest going into an engineering field, specifically environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. This country needs bright, young people who are talented in the fields of math, science, and technology. And we definitely need more females to enter the engineering fields.

Engineering school is not easy; you will have to work hard, classes can be hard to keep up with, professors aren’t always easy to understand. But depending on the field you go into, you will be able to get a great job. Engineers can make a huge difference in the world these days too, so it’s a rewarding field. Not going to engineering school is probably the biggest regret of my life.

teacher, they have fun and you need to know how to use computers, be around KIDS, draw good pictures for your students to understand what you are talking about :] they pay pay pretty good.

Child care? kinda like a preschool or kindergarden teacher… you take care of kids have fun with them, draw picture with them, make things with craft, use the computer for ANYTHING, run around having fun again! :)

you shouldnt think of a career that you want, you should just focus on your interests and eventually the right career will appear to you and you will be set! Just follow your passions and go to a liberal arts college!

I would ask trusted adult friends / relatives would they recommend their career field - why - what courses should I take to prepare for that career - can I intern, possible come and observe them on the job - another idea, just look through the yellow pages at different careers and jot down a list that might interest you - the real key is finding something you Love - one where you would show up even if they didn’t pay you - rewarding - I found such a career in air traffic control - once you find it make sure the classes you take in school prepare for education in that field…I wish you every success !!
