Calico's

What are the odds of finding a male? Do you have a photo of your Calico or do you agree they make amazing pets? I have two … Harley Piffles and ZuZu … they kiss on demand.

Answer #1

only females can be calico, it has to do with the x chromosone vs why chromosone. Girls get two X chromosones while males get one X and one why for a cat to be calico it needs two X chromosones.

Answer #4

Calico is not actually a breed, it’s a colour pattern…so you have have different breeds of cats who come out calico.

I don’t know what the odds are exactly, but I do know that male calico’s are extremely rare.

I have two calico’s..my tortoiseshell is half Siamese -Marsala, and the other is a muted calico, half Maine Coon, Marsala’s daughter, Echo.
