In fact yes they do, bug’s don’t have eye lids, therefore you cannot see them sleep but there have been experiments done that show they ‘rest’.
I have read that sharks never sleep.
I think they just take cat naps, which might explain their short life expectancies. You should try to get 8 hours every night.
Just because you dont close your eyes, does not mean you cant sleep….for example like snakes, they have an outer layer of transparent skin that covers their eye, just like sharks…..they are similiar….
