Am I overweight and how to lose it?

Well here is my problem, I am a young teenage girl who is 5’ 6’ and I weigh 140 lbs. all my friends are sooo much thinner than me and they are just as tall. I have tried diets and working out, and I’m a Vegetarian. Anyway, when people guess how much I weigh they think I weigh like 120, so I know I don’t look like I weigh 140, but I am. So I really just want to know do I weigh too much and if I do then how do I lose the weight in a healthy way? please comment!

well if your determind to lose weight try doign something fun you will enjoy ! dont starve your self its just bad ! I tried dancing I mean do whatever it wll work ! you dotn have to got to the gym or anythign ! if it doesnt work tell me!

Don’t worry yourself about weight. I’m way taller than most of my friends but still fatter. ((i’m an inch away from 6 feet x])) But most of my friends have a way better body than me and i look like i weigh around 180 since i’m very large proabably overwight ;o YOU DONT NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT!

yeah, i definitley agree with these girls so far. Take me for example, I’m the same height as you (5’6) and I weigh 169 pounds. So 140 is NOT big at all, I’d say that’s average size.

Muscle does weight more than fat so instead of weighing yourself measure yourself. Don’t worry about your weight. Most of my friends are still skinner than me and they have had babies. It does get depressing at times but you just have to realize that your body is defferent. Make sure you measure your waist. And if it is 35 or above than you need to start working that off. 35 and above means you are at greater risk for heart disease. just make sure you are drinking plenty of water.
