How do i get my blackberry fixed?

If you have insurance on the phone, you can pay the deductible and get a new phone. I don’t think they can fix just a button or two, but you can take it to your local dealer for them to look it over. You can also see if you’re eligible for an upgrade, assuming you have had the service for awhile. That may save you money on an actual phone. Like I said though, I doubt they’ll be able to just fix it. You’ll likely need a replacement of some sort. Sorry :(

Insurance for my Droid and Blackberry Storm were only $7 a piece per month. I strongly recommend you get that in the future. My Droid fell in the toilet, but I now only have to pay a $90 deductible to get a new one, as opposed to almost $600 without the insurance. Needless to say the extra $7 is well worth it.

I have a blackberry too and this happen to me alot although o do have insurance. Is it the scroll ball or is it one of the newer one with the button?

You might be able to find a cell phone repair place in town. We have one here that is part of any of the cell providers, but just works on cell phones of pretty much any make or model.

*that isn’t part of any cell provider….I need and edit button.

hi - Thanks for taking the time to look at this. It is a year and one month old so its the old system (a black “nipple” type button in the middle). It allows me to scroll up and down (although that stopped this morning for a time) but doesnt press so i have to sue the return button. What is sooooo frustrating is that I canx my insurance about a month ago! Anyway i took it the vodaphone shop today and he said they woulkd fix it free of charge but i would have to wait 2 weeks and for someone who is needs it every minute of every day (crackberry) …that is going to be difficult. I have a business trip tp vegas soon and the day after i arrive back i am on a plane to India so i really need it! Thanks again. Nick

Hi - Thanks for taking the time to write to me. I cancelled the insurance as it was GBP 9.00 per month and after 12 months i thought “i dont need it”. Big mistake but the good news is they will repair it FOC so all i need to do is find a spare phone to use for 2 weeks whilst it is under repair. Thanks. Nick
