Docs are prescribing birth control to about every problem

I think its really dumb how the docs are prescribing birth control to about every problem a girl has my friend has a very low voice and the do gave her birth control pills, my other friend is under weigh and she got birth conttrol too… Do they not know giving a girl pills is just telling her go out and have sex with whoever you want??? This is dumb what you guys think??

No its not. Birth control has different doses. They probably gave them a lower dose, which means its not that effective. So I wouldnt reccommend them having sex without another form of protection. And birth control makes you gain weight, thats why your friends doctor probably gave that to her. And I’ve never heard of a doctor giving someone pills because of a low voice, theres probably another underlying reason. Doctors know what they are doing, thats why they are doctors.

That’s kinda messed up.

But my sister takes birth control because she has acne, and she’s quite the mormon girl! So she would never have sex before she got married!

She takes YAZ, she’s been trying to lose weight, so she’s as flat as me. She’s about 22! But after taking the pill, she’s filled a little more. So I think it’s good! And they probably are giving her a lower dose.

There might be another pill they could take… but are they sexually active? If so, the doctor thought, ‘There’s another option, but I want to make sure she’s safe instead of sorry.’ If there not sexually active, tell them to ask their doctor if there’s another option.

wow, thats really freaken messed up. I think its stupid and people should only have it if they need it.
