Why are my wireless settings messed up?

i have just installed my wireless router and worked ok, i then decided to make this secure on belkin webpage, i called this another name but now every time i try to connect i am prompted with this message “ view wireless security settings on this computer do not match the settins on my wirelss name” Have I got to change a setting on my computer, if so where? I have got vista basic and I am a learner, so i need an idiots guide please. If all else fails can I unistall the router and start all over again? I was not secure so that is why I tried to change my router :-( Kim x

Hm, I’d try reinstalling the router. Usually, when I’ve installed one & followed the instrutions, everything went fine. If I tried something that wasn’t clearly spelled out in the start guide, I had the same issue.

In terms of security, the router should include some firewall by default, I think. If not, then you should install a software firewall.
