Am I an emo poser?

I’m a 13 year old girl and I get called an emo a lot but a few people have also called me a poser, but they are people who don’t really like me.

I dress kinda emo like skinny jeans and black tshirts / band tees and I wear a lot of converse and vans and dcs. I also have black hair in kinda a scene style and wear a lot of eyeliner. I love emo/screamo/rock/punk music and a lot of emo stuff. But im quite a happy person, Im not depressed and I dont cut or anything like that… Am I a poser? … I dont think I am and none of my friends do…

your only a poser if you like instantley turned emo in one day and call urself emo… but if you are just you then. And if people think that is emo then thats ok, but you no that you dont cut so it doesnt matter… unless you do whiich is ok if you do…

I dont think so…as long as you dont go marching around screaming “I’M EMO hahaha I’m cool” or something stupid like that. Just remeber to be yourself, act like you and if they still call you a poser, at least YOU know you’re not one ;]

Yeah,you are. Well,sort of. Most emos,or punks,whatever is a poser. You’re just trying to fit in,or ‘stand out’. Either way you suck and that’s the most retarded way to get attention. You have the freedom to do whatever the hell you want. You don’t have to follow a stupid label. Why not have a story behind your name,instead of a dumba label? I dress the way you described because I like the style. Now does that mean I’m emo? F* no. I listen to that kind of music. Now am I emo? No. I am not emo. If you do not classify yourself as emo,you are not emo. You just like those things. Tell those motherfers that you are not emo,you’re just expressing yourself. If you don’t like the label,start letting go of that s and wear different clothes.

The posers are the ones who slit their wrists and go around saying they’re emo. They’re the ones who listen to the emo genre even if they don’t like it, and they wear black clothes just to fit in to a certain crowd. If you wear those clothes and listen to that music because you like it, then you are not a poser.

FIRST OF ALL YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT EMO IS A STERIOTYOE (EXCEPT MUSIC IS AN EXEPTION) AND THAT IF YOU REALLY LIKE WHAT YOUR DOING AND BENG EXACTLY WHO YOU ARE THEN YOU ARE NOT A POSER. REMEMBER A POSER IS SOMEONE WHO CALLS THEMSELF A CERTAIN STERIOYPE. IF YOU DONT CALL YOURSELF AN EMO OR WHAT EVER AND JUST GO WITH WHAT YOU LIKE YOU ARE NOT A FRIGGIN POSER!!!!

Your not a poser if your comfortable with what you wear or what you do :) and if you get called a poser just ignore them because in reality your the only one that really knows anything about yourself :3
