What is an appropriate age to wear lipstick?

I think atleast 16.. Chapstick and lipgloss is okay though for younger ages. I just hate when people my age wear tons of makeup, including lipstick. But if its a really formal event, I think its appropriate if its within reason and doesnt look ridiculous.

Depends. When I was ten I smudged on play lipstick, but purple and blue and pink. I think, though, actual makeup should only be used from 16 and up. And definitely not every day.

I don’t think it depends on the age, but on your personal style. I have seen people over 30 looking ridiculous with lipstick, then people who are 14/15 looking fine with it. So it really depends in your style.

If you fall into the scene/emo category then apply it right and you can look fine.

And im not just saying emo or scene here. Just using that as examples because I have emo and scene friends who wear lipstick and completely pull it off. But hey, if it goes with your style and looks good to you wear it :) show off your own style :)

lol! My six year old wear lipstick sometimes. lol! We get her the toy kind, or sometimes she uses my wife lip gloss and make her lips all messy. lol!

Cute! Most little girls like using mama’s makeup and stumbling around in her heels.

For special events (weddings and the like) I’d say 13 if you’r helping them and as long as it’s done tastefully. But, for every day I’d say 16. Ideally not at all, allot of young girls look good without make-up.

Well i worked my way up. I use to have “play” makeup when i was small. When i turned 14 my mom would let me use concealer and powder. When i turned 15 i was upgraded to mascara. 16 i could have eyeliner. I cant wear too much makeup without my mom saying something, usually i just go for the concealer, eyeliner, mascara and chapstick unless its something special like a dance then i put on eyeshadow and lipstick.

My cozen is 4 and wheres lipstick. There’s nothing wrong with it. Doesn’t harm anyone or anything.

I think it depends on what the parents are comfortable with and the circumstances. As posted, some little girls like getting into mom’s makeup and dressing up…But when their older it’s a different story. I think that’s a family decision thing.

Now a days even a kid can wear make up as long as they use brand that will preferred for them.
