Is it appropriate for a girl who is almost 14 year to wear red lipstick?

I always loved the appearance of red lipstick, but i have never worn it. would it be appropriate, not for evrryday, just certain occasions? also, if yes what are some good CHEAP brands available in the u.k., & what would be the best shade for very pale colouring & medium blonde hair? Thank you :)

Answer #1

Of course! I always wear red lipstick i think its badass! I say red lipstick would suit blonde hair and pale skin, go for it girl!

Answer #2

I think it’s completely appropriate! Red lipstick is very cute & classic. I love it. I love bright red lipstick on fair skin, it’s perf ~ The best lipstick brands I’ve tried are; Loreal. M.a.c. & Rimmel London. I’m not really sure what is & isn’t availible in the U.K. But basically any basic dr*g store lipstick will do.

Answer #3

I’d say only for occasions like Halloween. You’re 13, be a kid! Just my opinion.

Answer #4

I think it’s okay to wear lipstick :)

Answer #5

Sorry i knnow its your opinion but ahh idk how you could say that XD

Answer #6

I agree aswell, my Mom wouldn’t let me wear red lipstick when I was younger, jeez she’s only just started letting me because she thought wearing red lipstick was more for ‘older’ girls.

Answer #7

Like my mom wouldn’t really like it when I put mAkeup and I wasn’t too interested either.. I just started buying lipsticks… Lol.. But if you want it, maybe you should go for it:)

Answer #8

No. I just think that it’s more for mature people, like you have to be older because it gives you that mature look to your young looking face. I mean you can if you want to but really I would not suggest it..

Answer #9

If you wear it in a tasteful way, I don’t see the problem. I mean experiment a little.. Makeups more than just slabbing gunk on your face, it’s an art form and it’s fun. :P

Answer #10

You don’t know how I could say that?? I guess you’d have to understand that where I live, teenage girls don’t wear heels to school, nor do they wear bold mature lipstick. My culture is just different to yours. It may be fun but if you did that here you’d get laughed at. Generally the girls considered “attractive” in my country have fresh clean faces without lipstick or foundation. Not everyone thinks the same as you guys. XD

Answer #11

In the place where I live, kids do not wear lipstick, just lipglos) until they are 17 or 18.

Answer #12

i hate red lipstick… it only looks good if ur going out somewhere fancy.. so nah it look weird on a 13 yearold…

Answer #13

thank you for your useful answer & the lovely picture!! everyone else’s answers were also useful, and i will probably buy a red lipstick, but wont wear it everyday, that’s just strange.. thank you all!!

Answer #14

Confidence is key..im your age and I say go for it! =)

Answer #15

eh. i would wait till your at least 16 years old. but if you really wanna start wearing lipstick, start with lipgloss and a pale color, you dont want to randomly up and start wearing makeup at a young age.

Answer #16

Yes. I don’t see anything wrong with it. I was a few years younger than that when I started wearing it.

Answer #17

I wear red lipstick..at 14 and now 15 and at first people were like WOAH, but now it’s like my “signature” thing… like my friends identify me by it xD But really, just make sure your face is mature enough to wear it and get the right under tone! If you look good in grays and silver..go with a cool, more pink undertone..if you look better in yellows and gold..go with a warmer undertone! Without correct precision, red lipstick can look very tacky and start to make one look like Ronald McDonald…shivers… so if you wanna wear it, ask a salesperson or older figure to help you choose!:)

I use Covergirl Outlast..mine was about 8$, but TOTALLY worth it! It lasts, like, all day and stays on well! Hope I helped!!

Answer #18

i think it is tbh, its your body+face you can do what you want! i started wearing pink lipstick when i was 14 it doesnt hurt anyone does it? and if people have a problem then tell em where to go :) xx
