Why didn't Jesus just turn himself in instead of letting someone betray him and causing that person to be damned?

why didn t He just turn himself in since He knew what was supposed to be done

To fulfill the prohecy.. This prophecy, had to be fulfilled in the life of Jesus, if He truly was the Messiah of God. Jesus emphasized this point Himself after His resurrection when He told His disciples, “All things which are written about Me in the law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled” (Luke 24:44).

Prophecy and its fulfillment validate Jesus as who He said He was — namely, God in the flesh. Prophecy and its fulfillment also validate the Bible as the inspired Word of God. Prophecy must be fulfilled precisely, not approximately.

The Bible, is so deep & spiritual, even at times, I don’t understand it.. & I probably never will, fully..

i totally agree…and also in my opinion jesus doesnt want to just make choices for everyone to prevent anything..every choice has to be made by that person..either to betray him or not..God gives us all choices..if he had it his way then he wouldn’t have even made us..he wants to be loved and obeyed willingly..not by him making us..i wouldn’t want someone to make a choice for me or to love me just because i said they had to..i would want them to do it for me out of their own heart..and i think God would also want that..so yeah..but thats my opinion..one way i look at it lol…

They found the book of Judas a few years ago and aparently Jesus asked Judas to “betray” him.

Answer #4

Because all good fiction needs some good drama, and what is more dramatic than a friend’s betrayal. Basically it made for a better story than if he just turned himself in.

Answer #5

The way I remember it is that Jesus predicted that one of his disciples would betray him but I don’t remember Jesus asking anyone to betray him. Jesus seemed resigned to his fate but also said woe to he who betrays him.

Satan…said:“Skin in behalf of skin, and everything that a man has he will give in behalf of his soul. For a change, thrust out your hand, please, and touch as far as his bone and his flesh [and see] whether he will not curse you to your very face.”(Job 2:4)Since Adam and Eve and specifically from Job’s days on Satan challenged God saying that any human being has his “price” to betray God. Jesus proved that a man CAN be faithfull to God no matter what pressures he endures, even to the cost of his own life. The challenge includes us all.Did you know that?
