How would I write a thesis about the rhetorical strategies Al Gore uses in the movie "Inconvenient Truth"?

i would do this but my teacher tells us not to be to specific in our thesis. x.x and well i sort of slept through the movie

I say the best thing you could do to get yourself started is to write the types of rhetorical strategies down along one side of the paper, and sit down to watch the movie again. As you’re watching, pause when you have to, and write down examples of his use of those strategies. Think about what effect that has on the watcher, and how it supports his arguments or ideas further. Once you have enough information that caters directly to what your paper is supposed to be about, you can figure out how to structure your paper, and from that, how to structure your thesis. You could list three to four types of strategies he uses and their effect on the film as a whole as your thesis, and then go into detail in the paper, one by one, using examples, or you could talk about three to four different points he makes in the film in your thesis as well as mentioning that you’ll be discussing rhetorical strategies, and as you go into them in your paragraphs, do just that.

Watch it once with the sound off, and include his dramatic physical performance strategies in your paper.
