How to work out for Break-Dancing?

I’m a female, so I’m not sure if that affects anything? But I plan on getting into break-dancing; two of my cousins are in it, I pretty much want to get into basic things like hand stands, and different stands (tripod etc etc, though more advanced) and maybe to be able to walk on my hands. ANYWAY I’ve heard that it’s not good to work out everyday; every 72 hours so thats every three days. I hope to do 30 push-ups and 50 crunches every three days; I did 29 push-ups tonight and all of the 50 crunches. If I do this, it should gradually build up strength in my arms and torso, right?

Yes, but working out basic things like that isn’t that bad every 2 days. You also have to work on your balance and especially stretching your muscles. I would say about every week and a half you should increase and challenge yourself to some harder work-outs. Like instead of 30 push-ups try 50, and 75 crunches. I would recommend more than just those work-outs, try other things like lifting weights and other strength exercises.

I figured this would be a good way to start out. Balance, definitly. Thanks for that!! I’ll really try working on that in different way. Thanks.
