why wont my computer work?
im kind of addicted to playing the sims… only now its not working!! It keeps saying “Failed to enumerate any Direct X9 compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure have a DirectX9 compatible graphics adapter and have intslled the latest maufaturer provided driver. The application will now terminate.” I have reinstalled the video card driver and directX. Still doesnt work. Help. I need my procrastination!
In this case, the sims video game may in fact be looking for an old driver, but, I don’t know what version of windows you have.
Did you already try the sims site to see if they have any faqs on troubleshooting, or patches available for the game?
And I’m guessing windows is up to date…if not, try that, as well.
Did a quick google and appretly this fixed it for another guy. Had to run Hardware Acceleration on. “You right-click on the desktop and go to Properties > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshoot > and slide the Hardware Acceleration to Full. “
