Why some people Mistake me with Puerto Ricans?
Seriously,Every school I ever been in. from 1 to 10 people always ask me am I Puerto Rican. Why do they Mistake me with Puerto ricans? I don’t get it,I mean Im just a Black dude! Why?

My fiancé is Puerto Rican, and just last year we went to PR on vacation. I thought that Puerto Rican’s would have a signature trait…but honestly there were people who grew up on the island and were straight puerto rican, and you would never think it. Some puerto ricans can be really dark skinned or as pasty as snow white! lol But there’s no signature trait…maybe it’s the lighter color eyes (honey brown…)
Anyways, I would take that as a compliment! Everyone I walked passed in Puerto Rico was absolutely gorgeous in some way!! Do you have light eyes, maybe that’s what’s making people think it?? I don’t know?
You might be a light colored black and a lot of Puerto Rican’s are light black … I wouldn’t take to heart…
