Why is there blood in my cats poop?

My cat was recently sick, and she stopped eating and got sick and we took her to the vet. She recovered from that, but not whenever she poops there is blood in it. What is happening?

Answer #1

DO NOT give her wormer without the Vet’s ok…Blood in her poop might mean digestive upset…but if you don’t know exactly WHAT is upsetting her, you don’t want to start treating it without knowing what it is Take a stool sample into the Vet, and have it checked by them.

Answer #2

The most likely cause for her blood-tinged stools would be worms. If that’s the case, a dose of dewormer will do the trick. Your vet can do a fecal test to see if it is worms.
