Why is my 15 month old chessy male neutared male acting agressive

My male 15 month old fixed chesapek bay retriever is acting aggressive all the sudden

Answer #1

it’s not aggression honey it’s dominace. just because he’s neutered doesn’t mean he won’t try to be dominant. he’s at that stage in life where he is testing his boundaries. he’ll keep trying to push yoour buttons until you become the pack leader and put him in his palce. he must always be calm-submissive towards you. you must always be in charge.

Answer #2

He’s coming into his adulthood, and this need to be nipped in the bud. Are you absolutely SURE what he’s showing is aggression? Is it towards people or other animals? Strangers…or everyone? Chessies are more guardie than many other hunting breeds.

Also, make sure he’s getting plenty of exercise everyday…a bored dog is more likely to become aggressive than a tired dog. If you have to, get to an obedience class…and re route his thinking…YOU are the master…not him.
