Why is everyone having James Bond parties for new years?

I am confused as to why the big James Bond theme is hitting the city this new years. That is all I hear about. I never asked anyone why because everyone seemed to get it right away and think it was a great idea. I don’t understand. What is with the new year’s James Bond theme?

The James Bond thing has been going on for about the last 4-6 years on New Years and actually throughout the whole Christmas break….I think it’s fun because you can tune in anytime to a Bond movie and there is action either going on, or getting ready to go on.
