Why do you have to bleach your hair to have coontails?

I am planing on dyeing my hair jet black but I want my bangs to have blue coontails would I have to bleach my bangs.

Answer #1

When you dye your hair black, leave the bits you want to coon as your natural colour. Bleaching black is just so harmful and your hair might snap off and fall out, not to mention the fact that you will probably go ginger lol.

So leave those bits, and bleach them as normal.

Yes you will have to bleach it. And very light blonde too. I had medium/light blonde hair and put black and blue coons through it and it looked good, but not fabulous. I wish I had of bleached it white beforehand.

for the blue to really stand out, you need it nearly white.

Answer #2

yes because blue wont properly show up over black most “‘scene’’ kids have coon tail extensions though rarely are they part of there real hair
