Why do people thank datin outside your race is wrong?

My gma thanks its wrong for me 2 be with my boyfriend because he is black and im white. why do old white people gotta be so racist?

I know what you mean. But it’s not racist exactly, in their time; blacks were with blacks, white with whites, asians with asians, etc. . . They just think it’s ‘proper’ for people to marry with in the same race. That’s all. It’s very hard to change the opinion, so just don’t worry about it for now. You’ll see in 50 years, when you have grand kids that things they will be doing will be ‘foreign’ to you and you won’t necessarily agree with it.

Because they didnt grow up in the same time you did. To them it is what it is. It’s hard to change that.
