Why do I have feelings for my cousin?

Ino this sounds realy horrid but I always use to be close to my cousin as he is the same age as me, but 5 years ago he moved to the other side of the world and I dont see him that often. Last month I went with all my family to vist them and we was realy close again. He kinda reminds me of a boy that I use to date but I dont like that boy anymore so I dont know why I have these feelings for him:/ because we was visting family we were stayin in there homes and I always stayed in my cousins sharing his room and his bed. We never actuly done anything but just befor we was going home he was becoming more close to me than usual like he was always flirting with me as my younger cousin said. Do you think he feels the same??

Ahem. What’s God to decide who you are or are not able to love? I don’t know how much I need to emphasize this, Christianity is the not the only religion to follow. Perhaps I should’ve added some exclamation points, but it seemed like a rude thing to do.

Anywho: In some countries, cousins are allowed to marry. I can’t just tell you to stop viewing him in that way, but I will encourage you to try and stop this infatuation. Cousin loving could cause problems in a closeminded family. On the other side of the argument, you can’t help who you’re attracted to. It’s not your fault that you feel this way, we are only human and occasionally there will be certain temptations and lusts. So what I’ll say is, it’s your life to live. So go ahead but I can’t voice a opinion on whether or not your cousin feels the same way, because this is an awkward enough situation. You’ll just have to ask.

I woudnt go that far to marry him like but I just get this feeling everytime I was with him its not a fany/love feeling I just dont no what it is hes been sending me messages telling me he’s missing me loads. and hes not my first cousin he is my mums cousins son so its kinda still my cousin right?x

Christianity has nothing to do with this. Many religions have ideas about sex with close relatives. Scientifically, for first cousins, it’s best not too, but unless the family has some serious genetic diseases, who cares. However, there may be LOCAL laws against it. Otherwise, be discreet. Several famous people actually married their cousins.

If he is a blood relative you may just notice he is good looking and your hormones are making you think you like him…but unless he is a 3rd cousin or 4th I woudn’t take it any further than your imagination because you are blood related and that’s incest. It’s understandable to be attracted to someone you are close to, but you have to draw the line somewhere and that usually begins with family relations.

Can everyone stop talking about incest! My grandparents are first cousins and my mother turned out pretty fine, in fact she is a CEO of her own company and very intelligent. So unless you have genetic problems you won’t have a messed up child.
