When I was at college this girl use to say hi to me and we didnt know each other and sometimes she would smile at me and laugh at me

Sounds like she fancied you. Just because you didn’t know her or she didn’t know you, doesn’t mean she didn’t have a little crush on you.

Well I think she at least likes you in some way, I mean I done that to a boy, I secretly fancied him, but I made out that I was just his friend.

Yeah, it could be that she likes you or is interested or maybe she just wants to make friends, I think you should speak to her.. like make conversation
