Why cant I sleep without a heavy blanket?

Okay, Everynight I sleep with a think Barbie blanket and a HUGE plaid comforter, lastnight my mom was washing the plaid one, so I only slept with my Barbie one, and I didnt get ANY sleep, I tossed and turned and it was horrible, I didnt even bother to go to school, so then my mom got it out in the morning and I took a nap with it and I slept PERFECTLY, like I slept 5 hours straight :)

The plaid comforter is really heavy, so is that why I need to sleep with it? because I need it to hold me down?

Im really shocked :O I want to know why :)

probably its just a security thing. I need to sleep with a pillow behind me pressing up on my back. without it I just cant sleep. I think its just like; comforting knowing its there.

I think its like what the rest said that your used to it

I’m quite certain it’s a comfort issue…the extra weight makes you feel cozy, secure, warm…it’s a common necessity for a lot of people.

I like heavy blankets too (and it has nothing to do with the fact that the temperatures here drop to -50C)

your used to it thats why it gives you a sense of comfort and security it works in the same way a nightlight would work

Have you used it for a long time? If so you might’ve gotten used to sleeping with it and if you don’t have it then sleeping might be a bit awkward. Or it could be because of its size, I know I love to wrap myself around my blanket and squeeze myself up. I think it might have something to do with the comforter being heavy, heaviness is usually the feeling that people get when they want to sleep.

Theres a ton of possibilities for the reason you need to sleep with that comforter, but one things for sure you can’t sleep without it. Just a side note, Don’t miss school! Its not good for you!

Haven’t used a comforter before so I can’t really say much about it :)
