Why do people think I'm serious?

Now you see how important it is to word your questions properly. How would people know what you’re talking about exactly? You have to be precise :)

Well what else do you expect people to think when you post a thread saying:

“‘I just want to go jump off a bridge…any takers’”

…it seems logical to think you’re suicidal.

Questions about suicide and self harm is not allowed on FunAdvice, for obvious reasons. So anything directly related to it or sounds like it will be deleted.

It’s better that people took you seriously and it not being real than nobody caring and you actually killing yourself.

people take you seriously because people care, chelsi. especially me. I’m sorry that when my best friend says stuff like that I freak out cause I know what has happened && what could happen again. && I’m sorry that I don’t want to lose my best friend.

People usually ALWAYS take people seriously when they talk about killing themselves. It’s a serious matter that shouldn’t be joked about. That’s why they take it so seriously. And you should always be sure to say EXACTLY what you mean so people don’t get the wrong idea and start thinking things.
