When is it a good time to declare your crush?

I’m fifteen years old and I really like this boy. I mean, it’s not just the silly things like ‘I love his smile’, no I like that he’s intellectually aware of his surroundings and active in our school. We’ve been friends since eighth grade and I know that maybe I’m looking a little far into it. He’s had other girlfriends and stuff but to me, as an outsider looking in, he doesn’t seem to happy. So I’m wondering, when is it a good time to let him know? He has a current girlfriend right now and even though she and I have a mutual friend, I don’t like the way she’s treating my friend. So is this just a jealous thing I’m feeling or what? This is the worst I’ve ever felt because I’m standing by and not saying anything to him, I want him to be happy but I want my own happiness.

Don’t say anything to him. She beat you to the punch. What you can do is be a good friend to him. If she is treating him badly, take time and organize your thoughts and confront her about it. I warn you though, if you rush to tell her thes things and it turns put that it is a jealousy thing, your in big trouble. She’ll be able to tell pretty quick.
