Whats the best way to clean candle wax off of counter tops and from the inside of pots?

I’ve had a similar problem before. We lit some candles, and just sat them on our table where the wax dripped down onto the table, and dried. Obviously, we forgot to put something under the candle. :/

Anyway, what we did was very simple. We took a hair dryer, turned it on high heat…and heated the wax until it melted. Then, we quickly wiped it up with a wet cloth. A bit of residue was left, so we just cleaned the surface with a little spray cleaner and a damp rag. It came right off.

Apply heat or hot water to them to loosen the wax and then wipe down with a mixture of oil and water. I use to make candles and it gets so messy, but this will get it right out :)

The wax was inside the pot? Put the pot back on the stove and heat the wax up again, it will turn liquid and you can get a thick cloth (so you don’t burn your hand) and wipe it out. Using a hairdryer like Angelee27 said is a very good idea for on the counter tops.

you can also use cold instead. put ice on the wax to harden it, then smack it with something hard like a can of corn or something. the hard wax will break right off. just be careful not to hit it so hard that you dent the counter top.
