What is the best way to freeze snowballs so when they are removed from the freezer they won't be all frozen together?

(I need snowballs for something in a couple of weeks, but by the looks of the weather forecast we are about to lose all our snow and may not get another large amount again before I need it. So, I’m going to make the snowballs today and put them in the freezer so I have them for sure. i’m thinking if I just stick them all in a bag together they will get all stuck together. Should I wrap each one in wax paper or lay them out on a cookie sheet or something so they don’t all freeze together? Thanks!)

Answer #1

I think the wax paper sounds like a decent answer. Although you may have to reshape before use

Answer #2

Either putting each snowball in a sandwich baggy, or wrapping them in cling wrap or wax paper to freeze should work.

Answer #5

No problem, I hope it turns out okay for you. Good luck! :-)

Answer #6

Be careful doing this. Freezing snowballs in a freezer usually makes them go a lot harder than they were when you put them in there. . If you hit someone square in the face with a frozen snowball, it will hurt a lot more than a freshly made snowball. .

Answer #7

Thanks! Yes, we’ve discussed the fact that they will be frozen rock hard. Fortunately they are just being thrown at my husband who will have a very thick fur cloak on so we are not overly concerned with him getting hurt. : )

Answer #8
