What to expect when first starting birth control?

I just started birth control pills yesterday and my doctor didnt explain anything to me. I woke up this morning with morning sickness. I didn’t know anything about it, neither did my mom she called the doctor to ask why. Can anyone give me some first hand experiences so I’ll know what to expect?

Its just your body reacting to the mass quantities of hormones being pumped into your body. Everyone reacts differently and it will go away in time. Some people also gain weight due to the hormones(can be up to about 25lbs) If the morning sickness feeling continues for over a week I’d ask to be prescribed a low-dose birth control pill or go with the Nuva Ring.

I have been on them eventhough im only 14 but I never got anything like that maybe its the type of pill you are on - there are different types and the only other reason I can think of is that you wer already pregnant when you started takin them
