What should I do? I just found out im a witch!?

Thats amazing!! I not going to say anything. I’m sure you already know about me being a christian. Just wanted to say no matter what you do in life, Jesus Christ loves you and is always open to you. No rituals. No special initiation. Just ask him and he will change you. I hope you have peace in whatever you do friend and God Bless you!!

What’s to use?

Wicca is a religion, and just because someone in your ancestry followed it doesn’t automatically make you Wiccan.

I’m somewhat confused. So through history you find that you are a wiccan? I can hardly imagine. I mean most wiccans I know were born with the idea that their deity lived within nature, but that is the only form of historical wicca that I’ve ever heard of. Even if one of your great great grandmothers was burned as a ‘witch’ the possibility of her actually being one is almost nil. In fact the entire idea of witchcraft was created by christians. Wicca is just a reborn religion that has been alive in this world since the early paleolithicum (sp) which is the early stone age (first tools).

If you found that through your religion that the idea of a mother goddess has more spiritual meaning then yes you could ‘become’ a wiccan if you so wished. But it is not something you adopt down from history.

You may have certain “abilities” that run through your family, however it doesn’t automatically group you under a religious practice. You are whatever you choose to be.

The television series ‘Bewitched’ may prove a useful primer for you… I’m guessing you weren’t around when it aired… or for the heaviest syndication.

Religious affiliations are not genetic. You don’t ‘find out’ you’re a witch any more than you ‘find out’ you’re a Saints fan.
