What should I do about a false rape rumor?

Someone has started a rumor that one of my friends tried to rape me and the cops have been involved. I don’t understand why someone would do this but I haven’t had any contact with this friend in like two months and he has never even thought about touching me like that. The cops haven’t came to me so I don’t know if the cop thing is true. I don’t really know that much about the situation but it kinda makes me mad. I don’t know if it was all just something someone thought would be kinda funny. But I don’t even know that much about it or who was all involved in this. Someone try to answer some of my questions.

talk to your friend and ask if he knows how it started

if ur certain noone will tease and be mean go out in public but i know this sounds horrible but if they are going to start saying other sutff and taunt its best if u stay away from those people when your together

or maybe you should go out in public together.. to show that it was untrue

Oh definetly call your friend and discuss this and try and find out who would hav started this. If the cops do end up talking to you you can clear the air and tell them it was a rumour and nothing of the sort happened.

I think ypu should try to contact your friend and talk about this with him. If poeple see you togetehr they will understand that the whole thing is bull and at the same time you can check with him if everything is ok. Good luck!
